Capilano University - Advanced Education at Home in Squamish

 Capilano University is one of two advanced education facilities in Squamish. Quest University is the other. 

 The centerpiece of the course offerings at the Squamish Satellite Campus of Capilano University is the Resort Destination Management Course. A selection of Tourism related and University Transfer Courses are also offered.   This is a great opportunity for local high school graduates to get some courses under their belt before heading to another institution, and over time, more and more courses will be offered here.  

 In October, 2008, the Provincial Government made $1.4 million available for land acquisition in Squamish with the long term goal of expanding the Capilano University Campus in Downtown Squamish.  Combined with current properties owned by Cap U, this gives the newly dubbed University over 6 acres in Squamish.  Long term, Capilano is expected to have a significant presence in Squamish, growing to service the increasing population in the Sea to Sky. 

 The presence of institutions like Quest University and Capilano University ensures Advanced Education will be a cornerstone of the Squamish economy for decades to come.
